Rated 2 out of 5 by Lisette from (Why) Did this change? Hello - First of all, I am a big fan of Stouffer's products. I usually buy Lean Cuisine, but this time, I wanted to have an old favorite. It has been about 6-8 months since I purchased the Vegetable Lasagna, 10 oz size. Right off the bat, the product looked different than I remember. It was very green, and not the lovely creamy color that I am used to seeing, or what is pictured on the box. Okay, I thought, sometimes things get a little shuffled in transport. I cooked it anyway in hopes that it would be fine once I dug in. I was very disappointed. Even though I found many bits of veggies like carrots, broccoli and spinach, the cream sauce was green from top to bottom - and it was as if everything was just floating in the sauce. There was only one discernible piece of lasagna noodle in the entire dish, and that was on the bottom. Think about it: one layer of noodle, then a pile of minced veggies in a green sauce on top of it. I don't know what to call it, except it was certainly not a lasagna. Also, this did not seem like a dish that merely got mixed up in transit (which if it were, I ate something that had at one time been frozen, then defrosted, then frozen again). Please see the picture below. This is how the item came out of the microwave. Please tell me this is an error. I will not purchase this meal again if it will always be like this. Lastly, I just read the ingredients... "partially produced with genetic engineering." Whaaat? If that is the direction we are heading, then perhaps a nice note on the box explaining just what genes were spliced to make the carrot bits so sweet. Although I am being somewhat facetious, there is truth to my concern, and probably many others would like to know. Thank you for reading my lengthy email. I cannot at this time recommend this dish to anyone. I hope to be able to amend that decision.
