Cooking Instructions

For food safety and quality, follow these instructions.

Microwave (1100 Watts)

1) Open the box. Cook pot pie in box. 
Pot pie should be centered under silver grid lining. Fold bottom flap under box. 
2) Cook 6 MINUTES on high. 
3) Cook Again 6 1/2 MINUTES on 50% power. 
4) Let stand 5 minutes to complete cooking. 

Conventional Oven

1) Preheat to 400°F
2) Remove pot pie from box but leave pot pie in paper tray. Wrap edge of pie crust with 3” strip of aluminum foil to protect it 
3) Place tray on baking sheet, center rack. Cook 65-70 minutes.
4) Let stand 5 minutes

Cooking Tips

• Will be hot! 
• Only cook one pot pie at a time.
• Crust should be golden brown and steam rising from the filing. 
• Use a food thermometer to check internal temperature. Ensure product reaches an internal temperature of 165°F
• Directions developed using 1100 WATT microwave oven. Ovens vary, cooking time may need adjusting
• Do not prepare in toaster oven
• Do not reheat tray

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but too much chicken. I've eaten Stouffer pot pies for ages, but must say, the vegetables are skimpy. I assume people asked that more chicken be added, but there is more to a pot pie than meat! I suggest at least a 50/50 ratio. Also, I would like to see a veggie pie offered and also, a mushroom pie.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great taste and WONDERFUL, FLAKY CRUST I have purchased these pot pies again and again and will continue to do so. The crust is so flaky and was not expected from a microwave crust. BRAVO STOUFFERS!!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gooey dough I've been eating another brand of pot pie, but I like other Stouffer's products so decided to try the large chicken pot pie. I followed the cooking directions, and after an 65 minutes the pie looked done, nice and browned on top. I let it set according to the directions, and when I went to put it on a plate the whole bottom and side crust was gooey and not at all browned. I guess I'll go back to the brand I've always enjoyed. I love most Stouffer's meals, but I'll never buy another Stouffer's pot pie.

I have eaten at least one of these a week for many, many years, in fact my coworkers make fun of me for it, lol, I don't like any other brand of pot pie but none of the stores near me carry them anymore, what the heck happened to them? Even Amazon is out!

It has the right balance of chicken, carrots, and peas in a very creamy gravy that is outstanding. Very few companies still offer a quality frozen product and none with the exception of Stouffer's off a tasty pot pie. I've been eating these for years. Keep up the good work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sauce keeps overflowing out the pot pie! I really enjoy the flavor of these pot pies, but almost every single time I cook them (following the directions)a lot of the sauce overflows out of the pot pie. That's really the best part of the pot pie, but what it does is cause it to become very dry. Not to mention it's makes a mess in my microwave. I'm not real satisfied at this and will have to decide whether or not to continue purchasing this product. At least 5 of the last 6 I have cooked have turned out this way and I even tried adjusting the cooking time and still have this issue!
