Autolyzed yeast extract results from the breakdown of yeast cells to release amino acids, salts and carbohydrates. It provides a “meaty” flavor to foods and is often mixed in with seasonings in snack foods, stocks and broths. Because autolyzed yeast extract contains free glutamic acid, those who are sensitive to monosodium glutamate or MSG  should look for the yeast extract on the label. Salt is an important ingredient in the manufacturing of many types of cheese, but we work with cheese makers to give you cheeses with great taste and limited salt wherever possible.
Cheese is found in the dairy food group. Did you know that 3/4 ounce of hard cheese (e.g., cheddar, mozzarella, swiss, parmesan) or 1 ounce of processed cheese (e.g., American) is equivalent to 1/2 cup of milk?

Ratings & Reviews

Chicken Enchiladas is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 393.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Delicious! First try for this dish and this will definitely be on my favorite list! I found this to be very tasty and filling. My only con would be that there is not enough chicken.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Enchiladas. This is not what I would expect from Stouffers. These are most definitely not enchiladas, I did not detect any enchilada sauce and/or see any , either green or red. There was next to no cheese, no chicken, just mostly rice and a tortilla on top. Maybe should be called a Mexican casserole and work on its contents a bit?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ew... disappointing! We love your lasagne so we decided to try the enchiladas for a birthday party. Ew. These were so disappointing. No chicken. No cheese. Just rice and not flavorful at all. I don't recommend this item.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total Disappointment We have been buying Stouffer’s products for over 30 years and the Chicken Enchiladas are really bad. We purchased 2 family size boxes for a birthday dinner and they tasted ok but I could find very little chicken in the dish and it was very mushy. I told my wife to never buy them again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a fan Barely tasted chicken or cheese. It was basically just rice and tortillas. Was disappointing

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why? I typically buy your frozen lasagna which we enjoy, but this time I thought I would try the chicken enchiladas. I wish I had stayed with my first choice. Where did you hide the chicken? The meal was not just lacking in meat, the rice was bland and mushy. You should have called this 'rice enchiladas" with a hint of chicken flavor. As a loyal consumer of your products, I was very disappointed.
