Cooking Instructions

For food safety and quality, follow these instructions.

Microwave (1100 Watts)

1) Open the box. Cook pot pie in box. 
Pot pie should be centered under silver grid lining. Fold bottom flap under box. 
2) Cook 6 1/2 MINUTES on high. 
3) Let stand 2 minutes to complete cooking. 

Conventional Oven

1) Preheat to 400°F
2) Remove pot pie from box. Leave pot pie in paper tray.
3) Wrap edge of pie crust with 3” strip of aluminum foil to protect it 
4) Place tray on baking sheet, center rack. Cook 58-60 minutes.
5) Let stand 5 minutes

Cooking Tips

• Will be hot! 
• Only cook one pot pie at a time.
• Crust should be golden brown and steam rising from the filing. 
• Use a food thermometer to check internal temperature. Ensure product reaches an internal temperature of 165°F
• Directions developed using 1100 WATT microwave oven. Ovens vary, cooking time may need adjusting
• Do not prepare in toaster oven
• Do not reheat tray

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Skimps on vegetables. I baked the pot pie in the oven. The crust and sauce taste was good, sadly the product is very sparse on vegetables. By simply adding more vegetables this would greatly improved the overall taste. As it is I would not buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Chicken Pot Pie Out There! Very impressed with the white meat chicken pot pie. Didn't taste frozen, almost tastes like home-made. A lot of pot pies taste salty, and this one didn't. Delicious! I will definitely be buying more. Great take to work for lunch dish.

I was shocked when I stop to read the information when putting it in the freezer. The ingredients are horrible and we should not be eating most of them. This is absolutely not healthy food! Chicken with added soy, :(( I am tossing it out! Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will not buy anymore... Can't fix the problem. I really enjoy the flavor of these pot pies and feel that the chicken portion is sufficient. However, the issue is that on average I would say that on probably 4 out of every 5 pot pies there is an issue with major overflow of the sauce. I know how to follow microwave instructions and I don't really feel like trying the conventional oven process to wait 45 minutes to an 1 hour for a pot pie. (not that I'm certain it would change anything). Anyhow, I have complained before and feel that Stouffer's is just not listening to fix this issue. I tried a different brand of pot pies and had no issues whatsoever and the taste wasn't really much of a difference. This seems to be a quality control issue in the fact that they just can't figure out a way to properly seal the edges (and in some cases, the center) to prevent overflow when cooking which basically loses the flavor of the sauce and dries out the pot pie. I will just have to start looking elsewhere for a better quality product.
