Per the FDA, the maximum daily recommended intake of sodium for adults and children 4 years and olderis 2300 mg per day.

The sodium in this product is a combination of sodium naturally occuring in the foods/ingredients and the sodium from salt used to impact the taste.

The daily intake of sodium for adults and children 4 and older can be found in approximately 1 tablespoon of salt (i.e., sodium chloride). Read the nutrition information on your food labels to help you stay within your limits.

This meal delivers less than 500 mg of sodiumper serving, which is less than 1/4 of your maximum recommended daily intake. Read the nutrition information on your labels to help you stay within your limits.

Americans on average exceed their recommended daily intake of protein from animal based products. Enjoy more meals that replace some animal proteins with  peas and beans and even seafood, to help diversify your daily protein intake.

Ingredients

Meatballs: Cooked Beef, Cooked Pork, Water, Soy Protein Concentrate (with Caramel Color), Textured Vegetable Protein (Soy Protein Concentrate, Caramel Color), Modified Cornstarch, Whey Protein ConcentrateWhey Protein Concentrate

Whey is one of two proteins found in milk. The other is casein. Whey protein concentrate is a form of whey from which the lactose, minerals and water have been removed. It contains low levels of fat and carbohydrates and 30 to 90 percent protein. It is used as an emulsifier to blend oil- and water-based ingredients, as a thickening agent and to boost protein content in foods. This ingredient is considered by the USDA or FDA to be safe for this intended use.

Ratings & Reviews

Swedish Meatballs is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 56.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from others may be cheaper, but none are better. I got some 2 weeks ago and loved them. Shortly after I saw some by Banquet on sale. I stocked up. What a mistake! They are not as meaty or as tasty as Stouffers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as good as it used to be This was a fantastic dish when you had it in two separate bags that you mixed after cooking. Now it just makes a sloppy mess and though still edible it is now in par with all other frozen dishes as opposed to being way better. Would buy a whole pallet of the original type.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If you want to chip a tooth, but this! Every meatball has tiny pieces of bone in it. Disgusting!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love it but question the calorie count The box states 510 calories but the website states 560 calories. Which is it? May not mean much to some but it does to me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Taste Matters Great flavor and seasoning in the sauce! Only thing, meat substance in the meatballs are a litttle rubbery.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed about increase in portion/calories I have bought this product for 20+ years as an occasional quick fill-in for a meal when I have no time. It was already a high fat, high calorie meal. It makes no sense to increase portion size and now provide a meal with nearly 600 calories, 60% of the daily value of saturated fat. Thanks for making one of my go-to foods something that I now need to avoid buying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Savory sauce, tender meatballs, delicate pasta Frozen pasta is infamous for being gummy and overcooked, but not the pasta in Stouffer's Swedish Meatballs. It tastes like fresh pasta, and with adjustments to the cooking time to account for my powerful microwave, they cooked perfectly. The sauce has the optimal amount of parsley and the sour cream flavor comes through without being overwhleming. The meatballs are tender and delicious.
