Rated 3 out of 5 by from Exspensive, not enough chicken/veg. kids like it Just bought it yesterday, I've had it before, it's tasty but not enough chicken and veggies. My kids love it though so that's good! It use to have more chicken and veggies years ago, I don't buy it often because it's expensive. $13+ at Walmart in Utah! A bit much!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ain't what it used to be. I have been buying Grandma's Chicken & Vegetable Rice Bake for several years now. The family size is way to big for hubby and I so I buy the smaller casserole. The price varies from 9 to 10 dollars, depending on the store I go to. I haven't been shopping for over month due to illness but when I finally went, I purchased my Grandma's Chicken & Vegetable Rice Bake, among multiple other items to fill my empty pantry. I took out the casserole tonight to bake for supper and was utterly shocked when opened the package. Here was a tray, filled half-way with a crusted topping and nothing sticking out like the other times I had it. Usually you see a couple chicken pieces poking through and peas and carrots visible here and there. But this looked like a crumb cake. When it was cooked and put on the table, (I had to cook it since this was what was planned for supper) I spooned a helping onto my plate and usually one scoop is enough for me. The pan was so shallow I needed another spoonful to satisfy my plate amount. There was about a dozen pieces of chicken, which was tender as usual but I gave up trying to find more than 6 or so pieces of peas and carrots. I opened up a can of green beans. Now, the casserole tasted as good as it always did minus the tasty vegetables, but where did the quantity go? I always had enough left for another meal. This had nothing but scrapping for the dog. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Where's the vegetables? Don't get me wrong, I love this product, however it does have a problem with hardly any vegetables. I don't recall the vegetables being so sparse when I first started buying. Also, just purchased the 17oz size and it was terrible! Rice was like mush. Will stick with the larger sizes. Please More Vegetables!!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's Not Bad. It's not bad. It's not good either. To say that it is bad or good would imply that there is a flavor. You know that flavor of "peas and carrots" that tastes neither like peas nor carrots? There is a slight hint of that. Otherwise it is fairly flavorless. We added a nice Mexican mix of shredded cheese and some hot sauce. It was okay then. The chicken has so little texture that you can eat it and not know. You can easily believe that you just ate rice. Actually, the rice had a bit more texture than the chicken. Having the word "vegetable" in the name is a bit generous. I guess technically it does have vegetables in it, but I'm not sure if I would count the handful of peas and the couple carrot corners that somehow found their way into this product. It's not bad is probably one of the nicer things I can say about this product. "Grandma's Chicken & Vegetable Rice Bake! It Won't Kill You!" Please feel free to use this review in future ads. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grandma's Chicken and Rice Bake I have been buying this off and on for years, depending on availability. This last purchase had pieces of chicken inside that were less than the usual quality. I have also found quality control issues with other Stouffer's and especially Lean Cuisine varieties. PLEASE watch what goes into your packaging!
