WHERE TO BUY

STOUFFER'S Welsh Rarebit is rated 4.838709677419355 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best cheese sauce anywhere I've been using this product for at least 20 years. It is my favorite Stouffer's product of all, with the creamed chipped beef coming in second. I fix mine a bit differently, however. I "pop" two of the frozen blocks of cheese sauce out of the plastic tray and into a square two-quart Corning Ware baking dish. (If you let the tray sit at room temperature for just 15 minutes it will pop out easily.) I microwave them (covered with the glass lid) at half power long enough to match up to the total cooking time needed and stir it a few times during the cooking. When it is almost done, I add 1/4 - 1/2 cup of 2% milk and stir it in well and then microwave a few more minutes. This stretches it and makes the sauce a bit milder. I serve the sauce over toast with chopped fresh tomatoes or cherry tomatoes on the side and some buttered asparagus. This is a complete meal, and it only takes about 20 minutes or so to make. My husband loves it too. I have recommended this dish to several other people, including a newlywed lady with little cooking experience. They all tried this and raved about it and how quick it is to make when you get home from work. I can say the same for the creamed chipped beef over biscuits with tomatoes on the side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What happened to Stouffer's Welsh Rarebit? My husband and I have had our special Sunday morning breakfast for years.....Toasted English Muffin, tomato, bacon, topped with Welsh Rarebit......a lovely tradition. Now I can't find the product anywhere. Albertson's, in Henderson NV, was carrying it for the last year or so and now it has disappeared. It's back to bacon and eggs....how boring!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the same as in years past I have been enjoying Welsh Rarebit regularly for many years. Recently I have noticed that it no longer has the same rich creamy texture that it used to. It now is thinner and with a slight coarseness. The flavor is also not as rich as it once was.To bad you folks had to spoil a great product. Since none of my local markets carry it and I have been driving 20 mi to a Stater Bros. for it it's not worth the trip any more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Real Cheese Goodness I've been eating Stouffer's Welsh rarebit for 50 years. It compares favorably with the Welsh RabbIt I had at the Cheshire Cheese in London in 1974. Thge cvheese you use is deliciously sharp and the texture is perfect. It tastes great as a main course over toast and also over bacon, avocado, tomatoes, apples, hamburgers, ham, broccoli, green beans, baked onions, in omelettes, and eaten neat from the pan with a spoon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Where has all the rarebit gone? From my childhood, about once a month Mom coated toast, sliced fresh tomatoes and bacon with Stouffer's Welsh Rarebit, for a light dinner. As an adult I have created the ultimate baked potato dinner: bake, butter and season potatoes; top with steamed fresh broccoli florets and as much crumbled bacon as you like. A generous blanket of Welsh Rarebit and a dusting of paprika and black pepper makes it irresistible. So why is it so hard to find this product in stores?//
